What a 7 day website launch really needs from you

Fast launches are won or lost on content and decisions, not design. Here is what to have ready before the first call.

A website can go live in 7 to 14 days, and the biggest reason it takes longer is almost never the design. It is waiting for words, photos and decisions. Here is what to have ready so your project moves at full speed.

Start with one page of goals

Before anything is designed, write down what the website is for: calls, bookings, sales or sign-ups. Then name who it is for. One clear goal per page makes every later choice easier, from the headline to the button.

Five steps from brief to launch: brief, sitemap, design, build and launch
Most projects follow the same five steps. Late content is what slows steps four and five.

What to send us early

You do not need everything on day one, but the sooner these arrive, the sooner the build can finish.

  • Logo and brand colours if you already have them. If not, we can work from a simple direction.
  • Text for your pages, or a plan for who will write it. A short, honest draft is better than waiting for a perfect one.
  • Photos of your work, team or products. Real pictures beat generic ones.
  • Three websites you like, with one sentence on what you like about each.
  • Access to your domain if there is a website already.

Name one decision maker

Feedback is the second biggest cause of delay. When several people review every step, changes contradict each other and the schedule slips. Choose one person who gives the final yes, and let others send their thoughts to them.

Know your budget before you start

Websites at Designflux start at $350 and go up to about $1,500 for a premium build. What you get depends on the number of pages, how deep the design goes and which extras you add. Setting a budget first lets us tell you honestly what it builds and how long it takes.

Start with a focused site that does one job well, then add pages and features as the business grows.

What to do next

Try the budget builder on the home page, move the slider and see what your budget builds. Then send us your offer, and a real person will reply within one working day.

Common questions

How long does a website take?

Usually 7 to 14 days. Large, high quality builds can take up to 21 days.

Do I need my text and photos ready?

Not on day one, but sending them early keeps the schedule. A short draft is enough to start.

What if I do not have a logo?

That is fine. We can work from a simple direction, and a logo can be added later.

Can I see the price before I commit?

Yes. The budget builder on the home page shows what a budget gets, and you receive a fixed price before anything starts.
